The National Carer Counselling Program is funded by the Australian Government and delivered through the Carers NSW Commonwealth Carer Resource Centre - Carers NSW targeting:

- • Carers of frail older people
- • Carers of people with dementia
- • Carers of people receiving palliative care
- • Carers of people with a mental illness
- • Carers of people with challenging behaviour
I provide all aspects of carer counselling, including:
- • Emotional support
- • Stress Management
- • Bereavement & loss, including former carers, that is, the person being supported has died
- • Crisis counselling
- • Coping strategies
- • Transition issues relating to the person being supported moving into residential care or supported accommodation
- • Practical problem solving
While specialised in disability and carer counselling, Ruth also counsels any individuals, couples or families seeking to resolve issues and wanting to make changes in their lives.
