Peter Serpo

Peter is a counsellor and psychotherapist trained in trauma-informed person-centred therapy. To him every person holds a profoundly unique intersection of lived-experience and being. This foundational perspective powers his belief that every individual is deserving of respect and consideration. It inspires him to bring compassion to all his interactions.

Peter’s focus is on assisting people who may be feeling stuck or burdened by thoughts and patterns of behaviour. He works collaboratively with clients through a therapeutic process of listening, discussing and reflecting.  Ultimately Peter endeavours to support people along their own journey of building self-insight, self-awareness and self-empowerment.

Peter is a local of Sydney’s Inner West with experience of growing up in a cross-cultural Australian family of mixed European background. He has lived overseas including the US and Taiwan. He has completed studies at both The University of Sydney, through a bachelor of Liberal Arts and Science (majoring in Psychology). Additionally he studied at Western Sydney University, through the postgraduate counselling program to achieve a Graduate Diploma of Counselling and Psychotherapy with distinction.  


Peter can assist clients dealing with a broad range of experiences including anxiety, depression, early life trauma, PTSD, feelings of isolation, and has worked with people on the NDIS program.
